May 5, 2017 within World PH Day 2017  museum and cultural complex “Lvivarnya” hosted a charity fashion show «Butterfly in Blue». The event was organized by NGO PHURDA and LCCF of “Sister Dalila”, NGO “Straightened wings”, with the support of the Lviv City Council.

During the show 20 models aged from 3 to 66 yearsold walked on the podium. All of them are patients with pulmonary hypertension who came to the city from all over Ukraine. It was an outstanding event in their life, because often, patients and their families physically and mentally exhausted with the disease. Participation in the show helped patients to feel and perceive themselves differently, and everyone else saw that patients with pulmonary hypertension differ from ordinary people only because they find it difficult to breathe.

Designer worked with each model individually, that’s why each image was unique. All clothing collection combined the blue color and mandatory accessory – Butterfly (symbol of this year’s World PH Day). This unusual show started too unusual – listening the sound of breathing patient with pulmonary hypertension.

Such designers as Kateryna Carol, Olesya Marchuk, Tata Kalita, Olga Romanova, Juliana Nedoshytko, Lesya Semi gathered together to create a unique collection. The project team also involved business center Design House, namely the brand “Art painting Skinnysticks” Martha Yatsyshyn and students of fashion design class at School of Design Creative. A unique images of the participants were created by beauty studio makeup artists of EgoStyle. The host of the evening was cheerful and talkative Maxim Romaniuk.

After the show we held a “silent auction”, which goal was to collect funds for the ward of LCCF of “Sister Dalila” – Kizyuk Mariana, a young girl who needs a transplant of heart and lungs. During the auction we sold paintings, jewelry, gift certificates and handmade souvenirs. Total gathered – 5900 UAH. The idea of this unusual auction was realized by Olesia Marchuk and Christina Gupalo.

Overall the show and auction was attended by over three hundred people.
