The Football Club “Karpaty” supported patients with Pulmonary Hypertension.
On the 10th of May 2015 there took place a Football match between FC “Karpaty” and FC “Chornomorets”, where the players of both clubs supported patients with pulmonary hypertension. They came to the field in T-shirts with symbols of the International Day of Pulmonary Hypertension, which is celebrated on the 5th of May 2015. 
The announcer announced the following statement to all the present at the match, “The Football event on May 10, 2015 between FC” Karpaty “and FC” Chornomorets ” is dedicated to the International Day of Pulmonary Hypertension, which is celebrated the 5th of May 2015. Pulmonary Hypertension is a rapidly progressing, not reverse lung disease that requires expensive and vital treatment. Pulmonary Hypertension is when the air is left aside. “
In addition to this, there was placed a poster at the stadium depicting Artem Matkovskyi, a child diseased wth pulmonary hypertension with the words: “… when the air is left aside.”
Representatives and volunteers of LCCF of “ Sister Dalila”, Artem Matkovskyi and his parents attended a football match. Volunteers of LCCF of “Sister Dalila” during a break after the first half of the game spread flyers depicting Artemka Matkovskyi with athletes who supported patients with pulmonary hypertension, including the player of FC “Karpaty” Igor Hudobyak.
We all enthusiastically watched the game of FC “Karpaty”. The fact that the players fought for every ball for the winning team, which can be compared to the constant struggle of people – patients with pulmonary hypertension for every breath. The game of FC “Karpaty” successful and at 78 minute. Vladimir Kostevich opened the scoring in the game, and at 87 minute Vadim Strashkevych made the score 2: 0 in favor of FC “Karpaty”.
We congratulate FC “Karpaty” on such a desirable victory and hope that the fight of every patient with pulmonary hypertension will end with victory for the sake of a man, but this fight has not to be independent and supported by all caring people, sponsors, officials, deputies and the state , whose constitutional duty is to protect the life of people. One of these steps in the fight with the disease of Pulmonary Hypertension in favor of human`s rights should be the approval of the “Program on improving of medical care for patients with pulmonary hypertension in Lviv region for 2015” by deputies of Lviv regional council which will allow 23 patients with pulmonary Hypertension in Lviv region to be provided with medicines free of charge for 2015.
