We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the  Association of Pulmonary Hypertension in Kyiv, represented by the head of the Association Oksana Alexandrova and her wonderful team who organized  The Day of Pulmonary Hypertension in Kiev which took place on the 16 of May, attracting many Media. The Participants of the  action were those who suffer from pulmonary hypertension, their families, physicians, and our Foundation.

     The day began with a flashmob at the Cabinet, where the sick and the protesters were wearing packages on his head, in order to show that in this “package” is the life of patients with pulmonary hypertension. It`s impossible to live without air, without drugs that can provide this basical  and extremely important-physiological need to breathe. This action forced passers-by to think, and government officials were taken aback by the action. Thanks to God, they drew attention to us as they promised to work on this problem.

      The problem, in fact, exists, moreover, it becomes bigger and constructive solutions and concrete actions by the state are needed. At the conference of LH, “Interfax-Ukraine” the figure of 83 sick people was announced according to the  internal register of patients with LH. We emphasize on the fact that there is no public register.

“Life should be preserved”, “speak about your problems,” “Find a heroism to overcome difficulties,” “Together, we will overcome life without breath!” – these were the slogans that were said by the sick and by the conference organizers Association of LH.

      Paradoxically, the disease of LH is of Renaissance character in medical science in Ukraine. Patients should collaborate with physicians to widely investigate the disease and its symptoms. “It seems that patients may describe the disease better than doctors?” – said one of the patients jokingly during a conference of doctors at the Academician MD Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology.  Among those who were present at the conference was Dr. MN Professor Lydia F. Konopleva who is the most awared person of the LH disease. Speeches were given by the other cardiologists of Ukraine and representatives from companies whose drugs are needed by patients. There developed a friendly dialogue between doctors and patients, many questions have been answered, but how to provide patients with an t  expensive treatment was hard to answer … Now we are waiting for the development of the special state programme.

        Those who are suffering from LH are the people who are so eager to live and smile … This smile, though being with blue lips, still radiates joy and optimism, as they thank God for their every breath. On the celebration, which was the final stage of the action dedicated to the day of LH one could notice that patients have a great desire to live and to fight against the disease, they have agreat power – faith!!

       We express our special grattitude to those who in various ways boosts our faith in the recovery of our patients. Together with you, they are strong and will combat everything.
