On December 22, 2015, the Lviv City Charitable Foundation “Sister Dalila” launched the Project “Early diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension in the Lviv Region”. The presentation of the project took place at the the Lviv City Council. The Lviv City Center of Social Services for Family, Children and Youth and the Lviv Regional Center of Social Services for Family, Children and Youth acted as partners of the Project.
The goal of the Project is to spread information about pulmonary hypertension, its symptoms, to overcome the information barrier among the population of Lviv region, and access of potential patients to the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary hypertension.
The “Early diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension in the Lviv region” project involves the distribution of information about PH by volunteers and social workers among the population of the city of Lviv and 20 district centers of the Lviv region, distribution of flyers, placement of information stands in health care facilities about the importance of PH early diagnosis.
The “Early diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension in the Lviv region” project is very important, as it is aimed at reducing mortality from pulmonary hypertension due to the lack of public awareness of this disease and its early diagnosis.
As part of the Project, a support service hotline was launched by the number (097)151-09-01, for those who have questions about PH, namely:
- What is Pulmonary Hypertension (PH)?
- What are the symptoms of PH?
- Where should I turn?
- How should I live with PH?
- What are my rights?
- Where can I get diagnosed?
