Budget Committee Meeting

The program first got into LRC office, and then it was considered at the initiative of MPs at the end of the Committee meeting.

Holdun A.B. from the Department of Health in LRSA, had to present  the program and inform the MPs about the vital need for people who suffer from pulmonary hypertension. However, he wasn’t able to bring efficiently the information on Program to MPs as he hadn’t been its executive before but became recently.

During further discussion the word was given to the LCCF of “Sister Delilah”, who explained that the lives of people suffering from pulmonary hypertension depends on the votes of MPs since the state left them on their fate, on their own with a disease that progresses every day. Depending on the functional class of disease, the treatment costs:

1. 1 month of treatment for I, II functional class – 40 thousand UAH .;

2. 1 month of treatment for III and IV functional class – 120 thousand UAH.

The disease progresses without treatment, and life expectancy is measured within three years.

MPs who participated in the Committee meeting, imbued with this issue and expressed its recommendations to the representative of the Department of Health in LRSA, namely:

1. The calculation of treatment cost for the last half of 2015.

2. Calculation of cost for 2016-2017 years indicating: “Given the capabilities of the regional budget.”

These recommendations are necessary for approval at the next Committee meeting and its representing at the LRC session on September 2015

We, as representatives of people who suffer from pulmonary hypertension in LCCF of “Sister Dalilah”, believe in the early implementation of the relevant recommendations of the Department of Health of LRSA and ready to participate in the work towards the implementation of appropriate clarifications provided by the Committee.

We hope for fruitful cooperation, which will end with approval of the regional target program “Program of improvement of medical care fro patients with pulmonary hypertension in the Lviv region in 2015-2017 years” at the session.
