October 27, 2015  in the Department of Health in Ukraine an agreement between the DOH and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) was signed, which will start procurement of medicines and medical devices in 2015. Signatories of the contract were Alexander Kvitashvili, Minister of Health in Ukraine, and Yantomas Hiemstra, Director of UNDP in Ukraine.

Within the agreement UNDP plans to purchase drugs and medical products for the treatment and diagnosis of patients with rare diseases.
