Participation in ERS Congress September 15-19 in Paris

European Respiratory Society (ERS) – an organization founded by doctors. During the Congress, over 420 sessions of reports from doctors related to various respiratory diseases were presented. There were posters in a separate hall where leading medical centers, clinics and pharmaceutical companies presented their researches and studies.

Extremely impressive is the scene of the congress venue and logistics that was worked out to the details. Each participant could easily find the floor and hall he needed. On each floor, each room was set up by coordinators and guard.

The opening evening of the Congress itself was bright. The leaders were Professor Anh-Tuan Dinh-Xuan and Professor Nicolas Roche, founders of ERS. Here also those who dedicated their lives to the salvation of others were marked with the gold medals.

During the Congress, we held a number of scheduled meetings, as well as new useful acquaintances. We were able to talk with such giants of medical equipment manufacturers as Philips, Beurer, Flaem, Omron, where we have been demonstrated a number of new nebulizers and portable oxygen generators. We visited the rack-pavilion of GSK, Actelion, Ferrer, Novartis and others.

We also visited the poster hall. Here clinics, hospitals, medical centers and pharmaceutical companies presented their latest data on the research. We met with the State Rehabilitation Center of Norway, with the New York Transplant Center. The representative from the research center of Sweden, where they actively work on 3D printing of human tissues, told us about the stages of creation and reproduction of human cells along with plant’s. We also talked to the pharmaceutical industry. Byer, for example, presented a study on taking Riociguat by HIV patients.

We hope that seeds sown during the congress will sprout for a positive solution to the problems of patients with pulmonary hypertension. This is a great experience, opportunities and resources for our organization and patients in Ukraine especially.
