On July 18, 2017, the reception of the head of the Pustomyty region – Galina Gichka took place in the Pustomyty district council, during which the ways of solving the problem of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) were discussed.

Pustomyty district  is one of three (Zhovkva, Pustomyty, Mykolaiv), that trying to participate in solving the problems of PAH patients.

Galina Gichka suggested:

– to consider purchasing oxygen generators for 2 PAH patients of the district for the budget funds;

– To consider the PHURDA letter with the request to provide 2 PAH patients with medicines.

We want to remind that Pustomyty District Council has allocated a subvention to the regional budget in the amount of 400 thousand UAH to co-finance the Integrated Program of Providing Medical Aid to Lviv Oblast’s Citizens for 2017-2020, including PAH.

We intend to talk with the head of the profile committee on healthcare of the Lviv Regional Council – Mikhail Gichka on the use of these funds, and then, if necessary, visit the LRSA Finance Department.

In this situation, the positive thing is that Mikhail Gichka is well oriented in the problems of PAH patients in Lviv region and considers the need of patients in medical care.

Conclusion:

“To solve the problem we need to discuss it and find ways to solve it.”
