Help Andriy to wait until safe transplantation!!!
Mrs. Galina asked “Sister of Dalila” for help to save her son. Here is the story of her son:
Paliychuk Andriy Bogdanovich, 1984 lives in Chortkiv, Ternopil region. Congenital heart defect has been diagnosed since birth. When he was 1 years old, a sensation of heart cavity was conducted. At the age of 3 he was prescribed with operative treatment. At the age of 5, the Amosov Institute conducted an examination and specified the diagnosis – “double withdrawal of major vessels from the right ventricle, 100% pulmonary hypertension”. Operative treatment has not been performed, because of high risk (out of 6 operated individuals only one survived). Next, different hospitals and different illnesses and diagnoses: pulmonary haemorrhage, lower lung pneumonia, measles, chicken pox, bronchopneumonia, non-hospital left ventricular pneumonia, VRD, upper respiratory tract bleeding. In 2017 signs of pulmonary insufficiency (attacks of panic, chills, sweating, ending with infinite weakness (could not return to bed independently) appeared. In April, Andriy passed an examination again at the Institute of the heart: a double withdrawal of vessels from the right ventricle. Secondary pulmonary hypertension. Eisenmengeer’s syndrome. He was prescribed with sildenafil 50 mg x 3 times a day (continuous), warfarin 5 mg x 1 time a day, clopidogrel 75 mg a day, heart and lung transplantation.
Currently taking 75 mg of sildenafil and 75 mg of clopidogrel. For treatment, Andriy’s family spends 5400 UAH, when 10 800 are needed. They can’t afford better medicines or bigger dose. Additionally, they have to deal with the increased hemoglobin, which over the past year has increased up to 230-360 units.
“The most shocking thing is that for 30 years of life, for the first time, he got prescribed medical treatment, which proved to be auxiliary. We try to cope with the purchase of drugs. Of course, we can’t afford Revatio (sildenafil)”, says Mrs. Galina, Andriy’s mother, about the need for expensive treatment, which the state was not able to provide at the moment.
