The project “Early diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension in Lviv region” once again tells residents of the city about pulmonary hypertension issues and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment
Lviv city center of social services for families, children and youth gladly agreed to help us inform city residents about the pulmonary hypertension (PH), the importance of early diagnosis and treatment as well as support hotline for patients with pulmonary hypertension (0971510901).
About thirty social workers in purple and blue jackets (the colors that symbolizes PH) walked around the city center and conducted interviews with passers-by about the problems of PH, gave information flyers with support hotline number (0971510901).
For us, this project is very important because through its first phase, we were able to learn about new patients with PH and include them into a regional program of improvement of medical care for patients with PH in the Lviv region in 2015-2017 years.
For now, we have official information about 26 PH patients in the Lviv region, unofficially the number is about 40 patients.
Through the project, we want not only to inform the population of the city about PH, but also identify patients and help them.
We thank Lviv city center of social services for families, children and youth, represented by Head – Oksana Rubai, for the continous support of the project.
We thank Department of Interior and Information Policy of the Lviv regional state administration, namely former boss – Mary Vahili for help in making informational flyers.
