A CORK TO A CORK GATHER YOU AND I, TOGETHER WE SHALL SAVE LIVES!!!

The campaign “The Cork of Life” is a joint project of the Lviv City Center of Social Services for Children, Family and Youth and Lviv City Charitable Foundation  of “Sister Dalila.” The goal of the campaign is to clean the city from the most widespread  garbage of today – plastic and help people suffering from pulmonary hypertension.

Pulmonary hypertension is a rare incurable disease. As a result the increased pressure in the pulmonary artery, the person can not breathe freely. Today in  Lviv region there are about forty people with this diagnosis. Each patients needs, depending on the severity of the disease from 20 to 120 thousand hryvnias for treatment

On gathering at least a tone of plastic corks we can help every fourth patient to get the necessary medicine and save lives.

We appeal to all citizens of Lviv to support this initiative. Collect corks from plastic bottles at home, look for containers in commercial establishments of the city, and remember your concerned attitude will help  to save lives. Together we are stronger!
