LССF of “Sister Dalila” together with Lviv city center of social services for families, children and youth (hereinafter – LCCSSFCY)  together with the Association” Samopomich” is holding a campaign  “The Cork of Life”, which implies the collecting of plastic corks by Lviv citizens and their handing over to the recycling plant. Funds raised from recycled corks will be transferred on the account of  LCCF of  “Sister Dalila” for the purchase of essential medicines to patients with pulmonary hypertension.

        To implement this campaign on territory of Lviv city there will be placed special containers in which everyone can throw the collected corks. Further, these corks will be carted to the center, for which there will be allocated a special room.

It is planned that by the beginning of autumn all the corks will be carted away from the allocated room for this.

        On the website of Lviv City Council in social networks of departments of social work of LCCSSFCY as well as on our website and in social networks LCCF of “Sister Dalila” in the Mass Media all of the information about the campaign of “Cork of LIFE” and its first results will be highlighted. In early summer the special conference will be held on this campaign.

       In each 6 districts of Lviv city there will be held flash mobs by departments of social work of LCCSSFCY to support the campaign.

        The campaign “Cork of  Life” will not only help patients with pulmonary hypertension, but will also reduce harmful effects on the environment, as it is well known that it takes mach time for plastic to decompose and besides after decomposition it leaves toxic chemicals. So, no one can use the casted plastic bottles, thus we can protect themselves from possible infections which are  transmitted through household conditions.
